Project Overview:
When Rise Baking acquired South Coast Baking, BakTek managed the full relocation and reinstallation of key production systems. Over a 7-month period, equipment was dismantled from Irvine, CA and reassembled in Colton, CA—including flour and sugar silos, pneumatic convey systems, a Fanuc robotic palletizing cell, and more. In addition to the move, BakTek installed new systems such as a sugar bag line, a weigh hopper, and a CO2 line. Every component was validated and brought online to meet performance specifications.
Solutions Provided:
- Dismantled, labeled, and relocated two flour silos, one sugar silo, and associated components
- Disassembled and reinstalled a Fanuc robotic palletizing system
- Installed new sugar bagging system and additional weigh hopper
- Routed and installed full CO2 line for mixers and a single rack oven
- Reconnected and validated all mechanical and electrical systems
- Provided startup support and coordination with programmers
